THE 2024 ART HEIST
MARCH 9TH, 2024 5-8pm
The Putnam Arts Council is proud to host our first "Art Heist" This will be our biggest, and most fun, fundraiser of the year with proceeds going toward expanding artist opportunities in Putnam CT.
Where: 112 Main Street, Putnam CT in the Montgomery Ward building lobby.
When: March 9th, 5-6 Art viewing and refreshments, 6-8pm Art stealing!

What is an “Art Heist”?
Local artists have generously donated artwork valued at $50 or more to this event. Tickets are then sold to art enthusiasts for an opportunity to "steal" their favorite piece off the walls! The evening of the event, tickets are selected randomly. The first ticket holder will get to pick any piece they like. The subsequent ticket holders will pick from what hasn’t been “stolen”. Everyone goes home with artwork that is equal to, or greater than, the value of their ticket price. It's a game of chance, but most people will go home with one of their top favorites. It's the luck of the draw! All proceeds will go towards supporting local artists and art-based businesses through scholarships and grants.

They will also be on display during the first hour of the Art Heist event at the Montgomery Ward lobby. Start making a list of your favorites!!
Click Here to purchase an Art Heist ticket. Tickets for the Art Heist event are $50. The number of tickets available will depend on the number of donations - Everyone goes home with a piece of artwork. Tickets will be sold until the first drawing at 6:00 PM, or until they are gone. (Art Donors: Please note that your donation of art WILL give you entry into the Heist event. HOWEVER, to participate in the Heist drawing for the opportunity to take home a new piece of art, you must purchase an event ticket.)
