THE 2025 ART HEIST

MARCH 8TH, 2025 5-8pm

 

We’re having another Art Heist!

​

It is not just an evening of fun, food and music.  It is your chance to "steal" a great piece of artwork. 

​

Help us support the arts in the Putnam community! Here's how it works:

  • We invite local artists to donate one or more original artworks, in any media, valued at $50 or more. Their generous donation helps us carry out our mission AND they are entered into a drawing for two Bradley Playhouse Flex Passes for the 2025 Season valued at $200.

  • Prior to the event art enthusiasts buy tickets for the Heist. 

  • During the evening, participant tickets are selected randomly and the lucky ticket holder whose name is drawn will then “steal” their favorite artwork off the walls. The first ticket holder will get to pick any piece they like. The subsequent ticket holders select from the remaining artwork.

  • Everyone goes home with artwork equal to, or greater than, the value of their ticket. It's a game of chance, but most people will go home with one of their top favorites. It's the luck of the draw!

  • After registering your artwork and emailing images, please drop off your work at Sawmill Pottery, 112 Main Street, Unit #14, Putnam CT (entrance on Pomfret St)  (860) 963-7807

    • Monday - Friday, 10-5 pm, Saturday 10-4 pm, Sunday 12-4 pm​

  • Artwork will be on display at Arts & Framing, Courthouse Bar and Grill, and Jewett City Bank, Putnam for about a month prior to the Art Heist, and images will be shared on the Art Council website.

Art Heist Tickets

  • Tickets are $50.  The number of tickets sold will not be more than the number of donations. Drinks and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
