THE 2026 ART HEIST

We’re having another Art Heist!​

​

It is not just an evening of fun, food and music, it's a chance for art lovers to "steal" a great piece of artwork while supporting the work of the Putnam Arts Council!

​

Are you an artist? Help us support the arts in the Putnam community! Here's how it works:

  • We invite artists to donate one or more original artworks, in any media, valued at $50 or more. 

  • We display the donated artwork in several key locations in Putnam and we post them on our website and social media. It's great exposure for the artists who have been so generous in helping us continue our mission!

  • Prior to the event art enthusiasts buy tickets for the Heist. 

  • During the evening, after sharing in some drinks and appetizers, participant tickets are selected randomly and the lucky ticket holder whose name is drawn will then “steal” their favorite artwork off the walls. The first ticket holder will get to pick any piece they like. The subsequent ticket holders select from the remaining artwork. 

  • Everyone goes home with artwork equal to, or greater than, the value of their ticket. It's a game of chance, but most people will go home with one of their top favorites. It's the luck of the draw! â€‹

Donated Artwork

Last year we received over 45 pieces of artwork from so many generous artists. All artwork was valued at over $50 and some as high as $1,000.  WOW! Photos of the donated artwork will be posted prior to the event so you can chose your favorites before you arrive.

Art Heist Tickets

Tickets will go on sale in February 2026 for $50 each. It's truly a steal since the minimum value of each piece of art is $50 - most are worth far more! The number of tickets sold will not be more than the number of donations. So stay tuned. This much fun should be illegal!
